"All I ever wanted to do was sing and play music," Kenny claims, and his career path shows that his dreams are real and true. Kenny is the father to two wonderful and supportive children. He had one daughter and a son. Kenny's music really has taken off since he met Leona, now his wife. She is a go getter and stops at nothing to prove Kenny's voice should be heard by all. Leona is now his manager.

From playing in fairs, benefits, concerts, to playing in lounges, his dream is still alive and as strong as ever. His ability to captivate the audience is stunning to many. He pulls them into the songs that he sings, and makes them feel as though he is singing just to them. The people are amazed at the ability that Kenny has from singing old time country songs such as Hank Sr., the go right into Classic rock such as Hendrix. His voice has so much range he can sing anything one asks of him.

As a young boy, Kenny began playing his guitar with the help of his father at the age of six. He sat down and taught him his first three chords, and then Kenny simply took off from there, thus his hunger for more began. At age 13, he wrote his first song, which was "Riches." There began the light that was inside of him. In October of 2001 Kenny learned that he is not the only singer and songwriter in his family, there was a Dave McKern to which is Kenny's cousin; there is also another McKern that is an opera singer in Nashville that is a cousin to him. So Kenny's singing and songwriting is of no surprise to many. With the name McKern in his family lines, Leo McKern enters into your head, and yes, there is kin there. Today, Kenny has written over 100 songs, ten of which are on his current CD called "Spokes and Spurs." He is currently back in the studio recording his second CD, which is called "Feed the Fire" -- this CD will have 12 songs on it.

During the time Kenny is not writing songs or playing music, he is a carpet installer. Once owning his own business, throwing himself into his business, and music he gained patience, and discipline. He has won several contests, through Music City Song Festival, featuring "Love's Comin' Home," "Taste of Heaven," and 1st place with the KGA Kentucky Fried Chicken, featuring the song "Night Hawk." He played for the Wishing Star Foundation in 1996, Guild School for the Handicapped, and for many other fellow musicians. In 1999, he was featured in a Nashville magazine. October 2002, he was again featured in a local magazine called "Empire Entertainment," located on page 16, and titled "Whatever happened to Kenny Walker?" It was a great review of his talents and his ability to take a group of listeners into his world.

His recording career extends from 1989 to 2003. As of December 1999, his CD has been played in the following locations, and on many radio stations: Holland, Spain, France, Scotland, Ireland, England, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Germany, South Africa, Argentina, Uruguay, Texas, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Oklahoma, New York State, and Michigan, and many more. On January 24, 2003, Kenny was interviewed on Radio America, which is a world wide broadcast on the internet. To date, Kenny is still singing, and working on his career.
