    "Beggars Banquet"

How classic is Beggars Banquet by the Rolling Stones? Pure Classic. Featuring the Stones in the peak of their career (late-1960s-early 1970s), Mick Jagger and the boys truly defined Rock by incorporating their bad-boy image rock-n-roll and British Blues. Classics such as "Sympathy For The Devil" and "Street Fighting Man" never loses flavor, and the blues of songs such as "Parachute Woman" and "Prodigal Son" always has the listener perk their interest, and realize that there were always other great tunes the Rolling Stones did, other than the "standard" ones that received heavy radio airplay.

"No Expectations" features some great blues guitar by Keith Richards, as this song is classic Rolling Stones blues, as in "Love In Vain" (from Let It Bleed). "Dear Doctor" also features the common British Blues, as the Rolling Stones favored this music in their early years.

"Parachute Woman" has always been one of my favorite Stones classic blues tunes, with its true blues feel, guitar and harmonica. "Jig-Saw Puzzle" also has the upbeat blues sound that the Stones have always featured in many of their early music.

Upbeat classic blues is heard in "Prodigal Son," a song that can easily get the repeat button on the CD player, never losing its feel, as it's classic British Blues. "Stray Cat Blues" defines rock as only the Stones could provide -- it's only rock 'n' roll -- Rolling Stones rock 'n' roll... "Factory Girl" is quite interesting, and "Salt Of The Earth" was one of those songs that did receive radio airplay, but hardly not enough, as it could of been another "would-be" classic, if given enough exposure.

British Blues Rock is best defined for this Classic Rock album -- Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones. It has some familiar tunes, likewise other songs that will create huge interest. The early years of the Stones' albums were their best, as many albums they released; but in the end, as one of their songs states: "It's Only Rock 'N' Roll"... and we all like it...
