    "Not A Moment Too Soon"

Tim McGraw makes his debut on the WSVNRadio website, with an album that reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 album charts in 1994, Not A Moment Too Soon. Where most of today's Country sounds more than Pop, Tim McGraw brings back home a sound that is definitely Country, and not Pop at all.

The opening track has a great title, and is a great song in itself: "It Doesn't Get Any Countrier Than This" -- The title says it all.. It's definitely COUNTRY, the way country ought to be. "Give It To Me Strait" may relate to another true Country artist, George Strait, McGraw's vocal style is compared to Garth Brooks on this upbeat country number.

"Wouldn't Want It Any Other Way" is a great country ballad. McGraw's voice may be his own, yet it has a slight comparison to Garth Brooks as well. But McGraw defines his best vocal style in the upbeat honky-tonkin tunes, such as "It Doesn't Get Any Countrier Than This" and "Down On The Farm." As for the title track, it's a medium tempo song, and McGraw defines his own vocal style as well -- very well done.

"Indian Outlaw" is probably my least favorite; there are other songs that are much better. Like the uptempo "Refried Dreams." Once again, it's the upbeat or honky-tonk songs that makes Tim McGraw so great.

The Garth Brooks' vocal-styled ballad "Don't Take The Girl" is another entertaining song, as McGraw can record good ballads, as well as the upbeat country tunes -- "40 Days And 40 Nights" -- another great upbeat honky-tonkin' tune, likewise "Ain't That Just Like A Dream."

Garth Brooks' vocal style paved the way for many popular Country artists to follow. Tim McGraw has comparisons to Brooks, and on most of his songs his vocal style can defined as his own. In either case, Tim McGraw's music is truly outstanding, and listening to him, anyone can determine that he has had a very successful career in Country music. Not A Moment Too Soon became McGraw's first #1 album on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and he has had many more that followed. His popularity on the Country albums and its singles charts has been far more exceptional. Tim McGraw is a great Country performer, joining his fellow artists -- past, present and future.
