"All That Echoes"
Josh Groban returns with his third album on our website, (here's the second),
followed by his first. His third is the 2013 release, All That Echoes.
Groban "echoes" once again to the top spot with this album, as many of his albums reach the top of the Billboard 200 Albums chart. Groban's music is just delightful.
Warm. Embracing. It easily fits Adult Contemporary, Lite Rock. Beautiful music.
"Brave" opens the album, as it could be an easy Pop hit. Actually, it was a classical croosover-pop song. As this song's
wikipedia page states: "it signals a move by Groban to a more guitar-based, rhythmic sound." It has the style of being a Pop hit. It reached #13 on Billboard's
Adult Contemporary chart. "False Alarms" shows how great his singing voice can be. And again, it could also be a popular Pop-styled song. "Falling
Slowly" is more Easy Listening, as it is just a pleasant song to listen to. More on the classical side, and his high notes are in range, and tolerable.
"She Moved Through The Fair" is another Easy Listening tune, and showcases Groban's voice, being that of classical, and/or operatic. Beautiful, intact.
"Below The Line" brings a different sound, Pop? More on the Tropical side. It is still a good song, and good to hear Groban approach a different direction.
And, as many other songs, his voice is strong, and works well. There is something about foreign language songs, especially the classical/opera kind. "E Ti
Prommettero" is pure romantic music. (Italian singer-songwriter, record producer and television personality Laura Pausini is guest vocal with Groban.)
"The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress" is another great classical arranged song, as the piano makes a great instrument on this one in classical form, likewise
Groban's singing voice. Superb.
And again, the foreign language "Un Alma Mas" (featuring Arturo Sandoval; Cuban-American jazz trumpeter, pianist and composer) is another romance in
motion song. Sandoval provides his trumpet skills. "Happy In My Heartache" is another pleasant, easy tune. Easy Listening format, likewise Lite Rock Pop.
It is just beautiful, as many other tunes by Josh Groban. "Hallow Talk" is another great tune for the romantic background atmosphere. Want another romantic
background tune? Another foreign romantic song, "Sincera." Ending the album is a song co-written by Stevie Wonder, "I Believe (When I Fall In Love It
Will Be Forever)." A very powerful song by Groban, and just as throughout the album, powerful, beautiful, romantic.
Josh Groban's All That Echoes is more of a Pop album, rather than classical/opera, which he is more famous for. A Pop album, maybe Rock? Pop Rock.
It's a different approach for Groban, yet it all works. This album is just beautiful. Josh Groban is widely talented. He can sing. He can sing Classical, Opera,
Pop. Wouldn't it be great just to see him Rock it out? (Actually, he kind of did this on the DVD video of his album
In Concert. Whatever he puts his musical genre on, he will make it happen, just
as any album he has already recorded, and future ones.
All That Echoes echoes brilliance. It's a great Josh Groban album. For the Groban fan, it will be another great album to listen. Again, he is
talented. Listen to his brilliant and talented voice. You won't be disappointed.
