Not only was Tuesday Night Music Club the debut of Sheryl Crow's career, she also debuts this week on WSVNRadio as the
Album Pick of the Week. When this album hit, it produced radio hits, and put her on top of new artists to listen to. Not only that,
she would continue with her future releases, having great music to her name. Tuesday Night Music Club is no exception.
There is basically something for everyone here...
The album opens with a soulful track, "Run, Baby, Run." "Leaving Las Vegas," "Strong Enough," and "All I Wanna Do" were the
radio favorites. "All I Wanna Do" was the most popular. "Can't Cry Anymore' is a great rocker. "Solidify" is Funky, it's Rock.
Funky/Rock. "The Na-Na Song" gets an Alanis Morrisette comparison.
The mellow "No One Said It Would Be Easy" sounds Country, or even Americana. The Eagles' mellow songs gets the comparison here.
R&B Rock gets the nod on "What I Can Do For You." "We Do What We Can" sounds dark, yet it's almost Jazz, as in songs by either Diana
Krall and/or the late Eva Cassidy. The album closes with a calm and pleasant tune, "I Shall Believe," as it ends the album in a very good fashion.
The debut of Sheryl Crow, Tuesday Night Music Club is indeed, a great album, and a stunning debut. As great as this debut is, it would only
shine more stars for Crow's upcoming releases. Her future albums, from 1996 to 2002 (Sheryl Crow, The Globe Sessions, C'mon C'mon) all achieved
top hits and popular albums. Her albums afterward weren't as successful, but still, her status as a performance has always been recognized as one of
Rock's best artists.
