Country star Trace Adkins returns this week, with his 2013 release, It was one of his later
albums, as there wasn't any real big hits from it, as in his previous albums. However, he is one of the best Country
artists; he has recorded music since 1996. As mentioned, there weren't any major hits from the album, however, only
one of the songs was released as a single: "Watch The World End." I'm sure many other songs could have been
singles as well.
"When I Stop Loving You" leads off the album, and, it's a great song by Trace, easily fitting the common
(and great) sound of Country music. "So What If I Do" is another good Country-sounding track. A very pleasant
sounding balladlike tune gets "Come See Me," another good song for Country playlists. The good Country continues
with "Right Now." "Every One Of You" returns the low singing voice of Trace, another feature he was always famous
for. (Maybe it isn't "as low" as previous hits, as many songs on this album is in normal/above singing voice.
No complaints though.) More good Country is on "The Altar Of Your Love."
"Kiss You All Over" was a well-known hit for the band Exile, as both Trace and Exile provde the remake.
It's a great song by Exile, and this remake is just as good. But, if you really want to determine the "best" version,
it's obvious, the original. (Trace's low singing voice is the highlight, though.) "If The Sun Comes Up" is
another good balladlike Country song for Trace. "Say No To A Woman" is DEFINITELY a GOOD Country-sounding song.
"Watch The WOrld End" (with Colbie Cailat) was the only single from the album, and it's more of a ballad sounding
song. The title track "Love Will" ends the album, and it's another good pleasant-sounding Country track.
Trace Adkins' singing is a bit different, in comparing his more popular songs, with his low singing voice. (As in
Songs About Me; his first
reviewed album here on WSVNRadio, net, and certainly, not the last.) That low voice was what what made him more famous.
However, the songs on Love Will... are still entertaining. EVERY SONG IS GOOD. He has always recorded good Country
music. And, Love Will... is just that - GOOD COUNTRY MUSIC. For the Country fan, and especially the fans of Trace
Adkins, Love Will... is a definite entertaining album. Sure, it's not as popular as previous releases. He doesn't
have to prove anything, he is already a Country star, a Country legend, and future member of the Country Hall of Fame.
